With a Bachelor in Human Sciences at University of Essex you will typically have gained a solid grounding in health and society and the correlates of illness and culture which underpin them; you will also have looked at cross-cultural perspectives on health, health and disability, inequalities in health, the culture of rituals in healing, health education/ promotion, community health, and complementary medicine. Further study will have introduced you to evolution and the theory of natural selection, the evolution of behaviour, methods and analysis, international development and applied anthropology and medical anthropology.
