Vancouver Career College’s Carpenter Foundations program is designed to prepare students for positions on building sites and as apprentice carpenters with companies involved primarily in residential construction. Students receive hands-on training in classroom, lab and shop, learning the tools and practices used in the trade. They also gain practical experience in a 150-hour field study. Successful graduate will be prepared to write the standardized carpenter exam through the ITA and be eligible to pursue an apprenticeship in the carpentry profession.
