Master Healthcare Policy, Innovation and Management (HPIM)
In healthcare, consumer demands and expectations are rising, expenditures and scarcity of means are growing and state involvement is increasing. These developments raise fundamental questions about how to organise and implement patient oriented healthcare, how to guarantee universal access to a fair package of health services, good healthcare quality while containing costs, and how to improve the performance of healthcare systems in general and healthcare providers in particular. Key to all these issues is the need for innovations. HPIM prepares students to be innovative professionals who are able to influence the future direction of healthcare and to transform the current healthcare systems. The focus of HPIM on policy and management of healthcare innovation is unique in Europe. HPIM is taught entirely in English. Students can either complete the curriculum as a one-year, full-time programme or as a two-year, part-time programme. HPIM is linked to the research goals of Caphri School for Public Health and Primary Care.
